NOVEX II: The new flap valve from Adix Ingeniería

After months of research, development, testing, and trials, we present our new version of the Adix NovEx Clapper Valve. This valve improves the features of the current valve and includes a wider field of application with its new developments.

With a more compact and lighter design, making it easier to install and maintain, the Novex II comes with a host of implementations and improvements for use in ATEX environment installations.

Designed, tested and certified according to European standards EN16447 and EN15089, simulating real installation conditions with ducting on the protected side, bends, air flow, vertical, horizontal… It also complies with NFPA69 requirements.

Among its characteristics we can find:

Valve with open flap.
Valve in vertical position (which allows installation from 0 to 90º).
Tests of automatic activation of the valve by the pressure of the explosion.
Valve installed in double elbow ducts.
Size tested up to 1250 mm diameter.
Powder ST3.
Push and pull position.
Dome flap without external reinforcement.
External mechanical flap position indicator.
Special design to avoid dust accumulation.

All tests are carried out with a pipe after the first test.

Wide range of sizes.

The NOVExII flap valve covers a wide range of sizes from ??????(?”) ? ?????? (??”), covering a wide range of installations without the need for coupling processes.

The NOVEXII is constructed and designed for a reduced explosion overpressure of a maximum of 1 barg up to diameter 500 and 0.5 barg for larger diameters, measured in the vessel where the explosion occurs and designed to be used in association with vessels with reusable or non-reusable explosion vents.

Novex II installation in filters.

The new model Novex II flapper valve is designed in such a way that it can be installed on both the inlet and outlet side of the filter.
With the blast being on the same side of the valve, the process air can go in both directions, against the direction of the blast and for the direction of the blast.
