Project Title:
THICKNESS REDUCTION IN FLAMELESS VENTING TECHNOLOGIES IN AREAS OF HIGH RISK OF EXPLOSION.
File number: 13/24/IN/029
Company beneficiary of subsidies from the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla – La Mancha: Innova – Adelante Programme
Project incentivised with a subsidy co-financed by the ERDF and the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha

Objective:
The main objective of the project is the development and optimization of a new flameless venting system for explosion protection in industrial equipment installed indoors. The aim is to redesign this system from a cubic geometry to a flat shape, reducing its thickness and size without losing effectiveness, which will make the equipment more compact, versatile and easy to adapt to different industrial facilities.
Results:
A new, safer flameless vent prototype, certified under ATEX and EN regulations, with four gas outlets instead of two, which improves gas dispersion, decreases panel pressure and increases personnel safety. Their performance against metal dusts is also improved thanks to the use of a new stainless steel in the flame arresting filters.
Funding body:
Co-financing of the project by both the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha and the European Union through the ERDF.
