The extinguishing bottle is an essential part of the active explosion suppression and isolation system, acting as an activation mechanism for the extinguishing agent. Upon detection of an incipient explosion, it responds within milliseconds by immediately releasing a chemical agent that stops combustion, preventing the generation of dangerous overpressures and the spread of the explosion to other connected equipment.
Its activation can have two main functions:
• Explosion suppression: it stops the reaction in equipment such as mills, silos, filters, mixers and elevators.
• Chemical insulation: prevents the spread of the pressure wave and flame to other areas of the installation.
