Learn more about Adix’s new NOVEx II flap valve for passive explosion isolation

The ATEX certification (LOM22atex1035x certificate) for the new NOVEx valve, in accordance with the EN 16447:2014 and EN 15089:2009 standards, was carried out by LOM Spain (notified body) using the following parameters:

  • Valve with the flap open.
  • Valve in vertical position, allowing installation from 0 to 90º.
  • Tests of automatic activation of the valve by the pressure of the explosion.
  • Valve installed in double elbow ducts.
  • Tested size up to 1250 mm in diameter.
  • Flammable substance: index powder up to St3.
  • Push and pull position.

All tests were performed with a pipe installed after the valve.
