Design of
ATEX Installations
Designing well from the start is the foundation of a safe plant.
In installations with a risk of explosion, the design does not allow improvisations. A correct technical approach from the design phase ensures regulatory compliance, operational security and sustainability of the investment.
At ADIX, we integrate the requirements of the ATEX Directives 1999/92/EC and 2014/34/EU, as well as the IEC 60079 and NFPA standards, from the first decisions of the project. This makes it possible to anticipate risks, avoid rework and build safe, efficient and compliant facilities from day one.

What does our ATEX facility design service include?

We study the process, materials, operating conditions and emission sources to identify where explosive atmospheres can be generated by gas or dust.
We ensure that safety and explosion protection criteria are present from the design phase, avoiding subsequent corrections and reducing implementation costs.
We advise on the choice of equipment and components with the appropriate degree of protection for the classification of the area, and we verify their compliance with ATEX, IECEx.
We accompany the execution with review of plans, validation of technical specifications, on-site assistance and supervision of tests before commissioning.
Designing well is not only choosing certified components, it is creating an installation that works, is maintained and protected.
At ADIX we combine regulations, engineering and real experience to help you design a safe plant from day one.
