Dust Collector

Dust collectors are essential for the collection and management of particles in industrial environments, but they also represent one of the largest points of explosion hazards. The accumulation of fine, dry dust, combined with an ignition source, can cause a deflagration within the equipment.

At Adix we apply certified protection measures, such as explosion venting, suppression and isolation, to contain the explosion and prevent its spread, guaranteeing the safety of the facilities and people.


Bucket elevator

Bucket elevators are used for the vertical transportation of bulk solids, but their design and maintenance must be rigorous due to the high risk of explosion. The accumulation of airborne dust and the generation of ignition sources, such as friction, electrostatic charges or defective mechanical elements, can trigger a deflagration.

Silo

Silos that store powdery or granular products present a risk of explosion, especially during filling and unloading. The presence of suspended dust and accumulations adhering to walls or ducts can generate explosive atmospheres continuously or intermittently.

At Adix we analyse each case and propose venting systems to release overpressure, insulation to prevent the spread and prevention strategies to reduce the generation of ignition sources, ensuring the safety of the installation and people.


Hammer Mill

Hammer mills generate ignition sources with high frequency. Friction between the hammers and the screen due to incorrect assembly, the entry of foreign bodies such as metals and stones, or direct impact against the screen can produce sparks and hot surfaces that could cause fires or explosions.

At Adix we implement certified protection measures to mitigate these risks and prevent secondary explosions. We apply early detection, temperature and vibration monitoring systems to identify faults before compromising safety. The most effective solutions include explosion venting, flameless venting, and suppression, along with chemical or physical isolation barriers, such as certified rotary or explosion valves.
