Dust collectors, designed to control fugitive dust areas and maintain a clean and hygienic environment, are equipment that must be suitable for compliance with explosion protection regulations. Ignition sources in which this equipment may be involved are static electricity, mechanical sparks, hot surfaces and electrical equipment, which in combination with the existing dust atmosphere can cause an explosion with material and personal consequences.
