When the grounding clamp is connected to the vehicle’s connection point, the system measures the electrical resistance between the clamp and the control unit to verify that a conductive circuit has been formed. If the resistance is low enough, the TES-01 V2 allows electrostatic charges to dissipate safely to ground, preventing sparks.
The system then checks the electrical capacitance at the connection point. Only if it matches that of a tanker truck does the green status light come on and loading or unloading is enabled. If the connection is lost or continuity is interrupted, the system switches to a red status signal and stops the operation through an interlock relay.
