Ventex® Explosion Isolation Valve

The VENTEX® valve is a passive isolation system for installation on pressure-resistant equipment. It provides explosion protection in one or both flow directions without external power, ensuring automatic and reliable closure in the event of a deflagration.

The VENTEX® valve is a passive isolation system for installation on pressure-resistant equipment. It provides explosion protection in one or both flow directions without external power, ensuring automatic and reliable closure in the event of a deflagration.

It is available in different versions to suit each process configuration:
• S – Single-acting
• D – Double-acting
• C – Check valve

It is typically installed on equipment where explosion propagation must be prevented, such as fluid bed dryers, spray dryers, baghouse dust collectors (on the clean gas side), mills, pneumatic conveying systems and other industrial processes at risk of flame flashback or overpressure.

  • Sizes: 3.9″ to 23.6″ (DN 100 to DN 600)
  • Material: carbon steel or stainless steel
  • Dust load in the duct: < 0.05 oz/ft³ (50 g/m³)
  • Maximum allowable air velocity: 5,910 ft/min (30 m/s) in the direction of the explosion, 6,890 ft/min (35 m/s) in the opposite direction
  • Operating mode: single- or double-acting
  • Mounting position: horizontal or vertical
  • Combustible product: organic and metal dusts, gases, hybrid mixtures
