The NOVEx II explosion isolation flap valve is a passive mechanical isolation system designed to stop an explosion from propagating through process ducts, protecting the rest of the facility.
During a deflagration, the overpressure pushes the flap, which closes instantly and blocks the flame front and combustion gases, preventing them from reaching upstream equipment such as silos, cyclones or dust collectors.
The NOVEx II can be installed in horizontal or vertical ducts (up to 90°), in both pressure (“push”) and suction (“pull”) systems. Its compact design makes it easy to fit into tight spaces, and its normally open flap significantly reduces pressure drop during normal system operation.
A wide range of accessories is available to monitor the valve’s operating status and ensure reliable performance over time: position sensors, wear sensors, dust buildup sensors and an automatic cleaning system.
